Setting ‘Rejection Criteria’
Reviewing each and every CVs is very much effort-taking and sometimes almost impossible when you receive a large number of applications. By setting Rejection Criteria, you can get those CVs not matching with minimum criteria automatically marked rejected, so you don’t need to look into those CVs.
- For an existing position, open the position and click EDIT.

- Select AUTO FILTER tab.

- In REJECTION CRITERIA section, check the criteria you want to apply, and uncheck those criteria that are not relevant or required.
- Adjust specific criteria (such as years of work experience, salary range and notice period).
- Click SAVE.
Q: How it works?
If a candidate newly linked with a position matches with one or more of the checked Rejection Criteria, the status of such a candidate will be automatically changed to ‘Rejected’ in HR Screening stage.
Q: What if I want to review rejected candidates?
To access a list of candidates rejected in HR Screening stage, click INACTIVE and select Rejected — HR Screening.

Q: Can I change a candidate status from ‘Rejected’ to another status?
Yes. You can change the status of a rejected candidate. Select one or more candidates in the list and click STAGE, and select a desired stage and status.

Q: Does the criteria apply to all the candidates newly linked to a position?
No. Similarly to Shortlist Criteria, Rejection Criteria will not be applied if Admin or HR team manually link a candidate to a position. For example, Rejection Criteria will not be applied if you link a candidate to a position while newly adding them to your HYRNG candidate database by yourself, or if you link a candidate already existing in your HYRNG database to a position.
In other words, Rejection Criteria will be applied to those candidates who (i) applied to a position by themselves through career website or job boards, (ii) are referred by employees, or (iii) are submitted by recruitment agencies.
