The part which stood out to me during this talk was when the speaker talked about “tinkering.” Tinkering was described as the constant process of testing and reviewing the result in order to learn. This stood out, because I was working on a computer science assignment for one of my classes which was filled with opportunities to tinker. It then led to the thought of how this is applicable to artificial intelligence and how the most ideal AI is when it is completely able to tinker in its own “mind.”

In my culture (Korean), I was always taught to do things right the first time. This was very difficult, since the eraser was my best friend. This made me realize that tinkering is a very important process into becoming more and more accustomed to any process.
