The PARA method, which stands for Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archives is a system for organizing any type of digital information across any platform (I use this system in Notion and my note taking app called Craft Docs).

The 4 PARA categories are defined by Tiago Forte as follows:

Projects is for all the projects you’re actively working on – short-term efforts (in your work or personal life) that you take on with a certain goal in mind. This can be launching a newsletter, attending a coding course, executing a marketing campaign etc.

Areas is for all the important parts of your work and life that require ongoing attention. These can be work responsibilities such as Marketing, Research and Development, Direct Reports or personal responsibilities such as Health, Finances, Kids.

Resources is mainly for a range of topics you’re interested in and learning about, such as: Web design, Personal productivity or Artificial Intelligence.

Archives includes anything from the previous three categories that is no longer active, but you might want to save for future reference, such as: Projects you’ve completed or put on hold, Areas that are no longer active or relevant, Resources that you’re no longer interested in.
