We've got lots more resonance in our interests and viewpoints than you might have originally gleaned. I agree with your take on lucid dreaming (was once myself a lucid dreamer). In terms of your last question, that's a story that's far too long for even a full blog post, never mind a response in a comment ;-) And it's a nuanced story because I fully acknowledge I couldn't be doing what I'm doing had I not been privileged to learn from the great minds that came before and set the foundation for the field and clinical applications. Your comment, however, has made me wonder whether another blog series might be interesting, something discussing the evolution of the field, the possible dead-ends, and where there may be most promise for "redemption." Hmm… thanks for the food for thought!
