Advice from a tree

going out on a limb

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that most of us like trees, right? We all know that trees are good for the environment and that we should recycle our paper waste. But maybe you don’t know that they also help to lower blood pressure, reduce stress and anxiety and increase pain threshold. They are also great for our energy consumption — the correct positioning of trees around buildings can decrease air conditioning costs by 30% in summer and save us up to 20–50% on heating expenses in winter. Pretty cool.

Trees are givers. Yet we lose about 48 football fields of forest every minute and only recycle around half of all our paper waste — if that. It seems somewhat unjust!

Stand Tall and Proud
Think long term
Go out on a limb
Drink plenty of water
Be flexible
Remember your roots
Enjoy the view!

We pledge to plant a tree for every 5,000 applicants who are ‘approved’ using iAccredit. If your event got us to a 5,000 marker, we’ll send you a picture of the tree we planted so you know you did your bit for the planet!

The iAccredit accreditation system provides flexible, cloud based reporting — no need for printed application forms or paper documents which are inconvenient to store and costly to transport. Of course, it’s much friendlier to the environment too.
