Your new publication is looking slick and I’m learning a lot from looking at it! Hope all goes well. I’ll bet you’re relieved to be free of the burden of maintaining that old WordPress site.

Just curious: referring to your earlier comment, am I hearing you correctly in that you had a decade of content on your WordPress site, and decided to move it all across to Medium without knowing if their WP-to-Medium import tool will let you also automate the process of migrating your images with you? Or, perhaps you had someone else looking after the details?

When I did my migration, it left out the featured image for each post, and only brought over images that were in the body. It also mangled the captions for all of them and left out the excerpt text field data too. Other than that, it was pretty much ok. Luckily, I just had only around 25 posts. Your migration must have been a nightmare.

Your Friends @ Medium have been excellent. Hope they can maintain the high standard as the platform scales further.
