Having an argument between my mind and my heart
Whenever you have an argument between your mind and your heart, follow your heart but remember you will git hit directly in your heart.
I think you should have what it takes to keep moving forward while taking the hits. I met Dr. Haleema Al’Ali at Starbucks. She is my favorite instructor ever. She asked if i’m interested in public speaking, i replied: “I love it and guess what? I’m dying to share my ideas with others”. She looked at me with a wide smile on her face then said: “Well, it’s cool! Right? But i was wondering what drives you or motivates you to perform?” hmm, that’s a good question because three years prior to that i had to do something to bring the best version of me and i have a lot of ideas worth to share with other people. Who knows maybe i can inspire them with my success stories.
Few weeks later, she emailed me: “Would you like to give a speech at some point? Do you want to try it out. If you are interested, please let me know!” WOW, you have no idea how much this mean to me. Honestly, i was so happy because i’ve been waiting for this moment for so long. A great opportunity to stand in front of students and share my own ideas and thoughts without any rules. Be totally FREE!
I remember looking at the mirror and something within me told me: “Hamad, it’s now or never! You have to follow your heart, either you stand and shout or be like everyone else.” I knew that following my heart requires a lot! I meant it. I asked few successful people and all of them told me
It worth it if you loved it.
Alright! It seems easy hah! Love what you do and the end result is going to be worthy, but here’s what happened 😅 Isolated myself from family, friends and everyone else for 20 years of my life. Still Worth it? HELL YEAH 😏 It made me who i am today.
I spent 7 years in mastering graphic design, 3 years in self development and 6 years in IOS Development. Hmm, worked so hard to do what others can’t do. My ideas need evaluation as they are generated. It is also important to encourage myself for wild and crazy ideas. Remember, ideas like seeds that has potential to grow into something remarkable. If you don’t generate those ideas, then like seeds that have never been planted.
