I don’t think I completely agree with your sentiment. I fully, undoubtedly agree with you that you should never leave a door open that you’re certain will never make you happy.
But I think there’s something you fail to mention. Something you don’t like doing right now is not necessarily something that you will dislike forever. Once you grow and gain some experiences under your belt you might come to find that you actually do like practicing law.
When that’s been said, of course it has to be controlled. Like you say, and also why I agree with the article as a whole, you shouldn’t leave every door and bridge open. I do like to think that there’s value in keeping some of them though, even though they might not interest you or bring value to your immediate happiness at the time.
