How technology has influenced our lives?

True saying — ‘It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity’. Needless to say, technology has changed the way we live our lives and such changes have been prominent over the last few decades. Today, most of us spend a lot of time seated in front of the TV screen’s computer or sending messages to each other. Therefore, it is clear that we want to stay in touch with each other, but most of the times through social media or mobile phone. Technology holds a great promise to make life better for both the young and elderly. In fact, we are so dependent on technology that we cannot imagine a single day without it. It has made our lives better in the following ways:

1- Improved our learning system: Technology has improved our learning system a lot. Now, you don’t have to wait for the next lecture to understand any difficult topic, as you can easily get the knowledge on any subject from all over the world through internet. Also, you can join virtual classrooms online as per your convenience.

2- Keeps you updated: Through Live TV online, one can watch their favorite TV show or match anywhere, anytime. Also, you can keep a check on the latest technology news, political news, entertainment and sports news.

3- Reading books is easy-peasy: There were times when we used to buy our favorite book from any bookstore. But, now with the advancement in technology, we don’t have to go to the bookstore as most of the books are available online or as e-books that are sold by shopping sites at a discounted price.

4- Virtual chat: Earlier, we used to contact our friends through phone calls, but things have little changed with time. Instead of making a call, we prefer to chat with the person online through WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter. Even for important conversations we opt for mails rather than personal meetings.

5- Made things simpler: Earlier, we used to go out for booking tickets, shopping, buying groceries, banking etc., but now everything can be done online from the comfort of home. As of now, with the advancement in technology, everything can be done in a single click.
