Do it! Regarding jobs, depends what kind of work you’re in. There are options if you’re flexible about what you’d do and where you’d go. In Asia, at least, teaching English can be a handy fall-back option and can be a good way of making the initial move. (I’ve been in China for 12 years.) Once you’re in a country, you can often seek out opportunities in other fields.
