Hurray — Dom has finally got the VCP (Virtual Com Port) running on the CC3d.

So what does this mean? No more FTDI required to flash and program Cleanflight on this board ☺

I thought I would put a quick video up on how to achieve this. It is relatively easy and only has one little trick to get the USB to detect as the VCP which I outline in the video.

Below are some links that will help you get this going.

The almighty Openpilot GCS (dont forget that the Mini-Me version of OpenPilot it really awesome too!) http://wiki.openpilot.org/display/WIKI/OpenPilot+Downloads

Cleanflight bin file with VCP Support (download the cc3d.bin version) https://github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/releases

The STM VCP drivers https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

If you are having trouble with Windows 8.1 with the above try the second download on this page http://www.driversguru.com/hardwareid-USB---VID_0483-_-PID_5740
