Is Greatness in your DNA?

I believe that it all happens in a moment.

A moment with enough emotional intensity that makes people become certain about something, make a decision and take action to fulfill their full potential.

The question is…

Are some people destined to greatness while other will be average no matter what they do?

Is it DNA or something else?

If you hear the stories of people who achieved tremendous things in life, you’ll learn that most of them came to a point where their backs were against the wall and they had to choose to either quit or go ALL IN.

See, what happened in that moment was that they generated enough leverage to breakthrough. They focused on what that moment meant to them and they become certain about having to do something about it.

However, some people never get into a situation where their backs are against the wall. That’s why being comfortable is a bigger challenge to your ability to become great than anything else.

See, if life doesn’t put you into a “tough spot”, then you’ll have to rely on your own will power to do it anyway. You’ll have to set your own fire without waiting for an external spark to get that fire going.

So what makes some people go ALL IN and never look back? Is it DNA? Is it meant to be? Is it destiny or fate?

I believe that everyone has the potential for greatness within them. I believe that’s why people cry when they witness someone breaking through an amazing challenge and set a new record or do an unbelievable come back and turn a game around.

It’s all about the story that you tell yourself with total certainty! Just like these NFL team leaders were telling their team mates that they would the score around and it would be “one hell of a story”!

In these moments, I believe that we feel inspired and even some of us cry because we are aware of our own potential to do more and be more. Not because we want more “stuff” but because of our need to grow and contribute beyond ourselves.

Sometimes all it takes is someone to inspire you. To literally breath life into your soul and allow you to see just how great you truly can become.

Just like this young man right here, who’s team turned around the game and won because of something that his coach told them.

So I wish that you find the inspiration you need to become your best. And when you do, go out there and inspire others!
