Yeah, family friendly. It’s another privilege thing that large companies have with all the wealth they’ve built up over the years of being not family friendly.

Companies run on costs, a high skilled woman deciding to take a year off for maternity reasons is a huge blow to the company, as they need to hire a temp replacement, which they may need to train up. And since it’s a temp position, you’re probably not going to get the best, which means during that period, your competitors are going to catch up or even overtake you.

You can’t say “women need autonomy” then immediate demand “You need to give me maternity leave/pay”. It’s like saying you’re independent while still needing your parents to pay your rent money. Can’t have it both ways.

If you want family-friendly, ask the government to provide free daycare instead, because a company isn’t responsible for your family life.

At the end of the day, it’s just another feminist trying to play victim while demanding everyone else to cater to their wants.
