Monday Motivation: Honoring Workers

Today, in the United States, we recognize the worker. Labor day is a National holiday created in the late 1800s. Peter McGuire receives credit for Labor Day, but its true founder is Matthew MacGuire. Because Mr. MacGuire had socialist views, Samuel Gompers, led the effort to attribute the founder title to Peter McGuire.

Though a "National holiday," Labor day does not give rest to every worker. We have retail workers and public service workers, such as police, fire and ambulance personnel as well as well as the military and hospital workers charged to serve. They should be celebrated today, while we enjoy barbecues and shopping.

ArlieSpeaks Media, LLC thanks each worker honoring the public with their best. "Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best." -St. Jerome
