Botto is turning 1. To celebrate our anniversary, Botto will go to London for Botto: A Whole Year of Co-Creation, an exhibition that documents the evolution of the Decentralized Autonomous Artist during the 52 weeks of its Genesis Period, in Downstairs Brixton gallery, London, between the 26th and the 30th of October.

On the second day of the exhibition, 27th of October, a panel of experts will reflect on the role of artificial intelligence in art and creative processes, as well as authorship and co-creation work, on the basis of the Botto experience.

The talk, which will be presented by journalist Kitty Knowles (@KittyGKnowles), will include the participation of:

  • Mario Klingemann (@Quasimondo), Artist.
  • Rachel Falconer (@RachelMFalconer), Independent curator, researcher and Head of Digital Arts Computing, Goldsmiths University London.
  • Carla Rapoport (@CarlaJR), Executive Director and Founder, Lumen Art Projects
  • Carolina Fernández Castrillo (@CFCastrillo_), Professor of Cyberculture (Carlos III University) & Media Art Curator

These experts working in a range of creative, academic, and institutional areas, will examine the possibilities and challenges presented by technology in art and culture, using the experimental process of the AI artist Botto as a guiding thread.
