Still Life
Gail Boenning

I think any writing is good writing. I know if I don’t do it regularly I start to make stupid excuses like “I’m rusty and out of practice” as if a little WD40 and a user manual will get the juices flowing.

I have been pushing myself to write regularly, although I know I need to be more structured and consistent. I am at least writing more than I ever have, and more importantly, getting good responses from the results.

I will also say it’s inspiration. The stuff you write each morning may not always be as powerful or personal as you like, but it’s writing.

If you’re regularly thinking about writing you’ll feel guilty for not doing the work. If you keep doing the work you can’t help but hit a home run every so often.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
