I’ll buy that…

I think we ALL need to be careful how we look at any member of a group or class, it’s far too easy to make assumptions (as you pointed out) about someone just because of who they support or what they do for a living, or any other of a million criteria.

I believe one of the biggest issues we face today is the fracturing of our country, or the world really, because we seem to have lost the ability to have a rational conversation. People “know what they know” and are unwilling to entertain a different opinion — even though discussing a topic may lead both sides to middle ground.

We are all far too quick to judge, label, and dismiss. We need to try harder to listen first, speak second.
