Childish Gambino Shares Animated“Feels Like Summer” Visual: A Compelling Interruption From An Immensely Monotomous Time In Music

Much can be said about Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover and how he’s been able to seamlessly carve out an unexplored space in music that is not only well-received but without question, has cemented his place in music as one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Not since Atliens Outkast made their way onto the airwaves and eventually into homes and hearts of millions of adoring fans, has an artist been so eccentrically bold and unapologetically willing to challenge the status quo. “Feels Like Summer” is a much-needed trip back down memory lane that’s been long overdue and very tastefully pays homage to some of the greatest black entertainers of yesterday and today via animated cameos by Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Drake, Kanye West, Michelle Obama, 21 Savage, J.Cole, Lil Uzi, and quite a few others. The single and visual are exemplary bodies of work and I have to take my hat off to Childish Gambino for stepping outside of the norm and inarguably raising the bar. Watch the video below.
