I am sorry, but Google is a data processing company and their goal is to access all the data everyone has. That’s their product and the users are their field to be harvested. So they can provide / push “suggested” whatever they’d like to sell to you.

If you look a little deep, you’d notice that it’s not their goal to organise your email either. From the day one, Gmail’s goal is to make you keep your emails, documents, photos on their servers. So they can be harvested. Even the UI (at least iOS App) is designed around this.

e.g. the delay of one of the most basic actions “delete” and the lack of “delete all”
