Situation

Sometimes life can feel complicated. Maybe you have things piling up. Multiple requests come your way. But, sometimes… you just need to be in the now.

Pattern

1. Clear your mind and take note of your breath.
Find a spot to take a brief break. If you can find a quiet corner even better. Sit, clear your mind and breathe.

2. Acknowledge that the future is a projection.
The future is not actually real but a projection of what *might* unfold based on what you recall of past experiences and the emotions blended into those experiences.

3. Acknowledge that the past is a recreation.
The past is a recreation of events in your mind infused with your emotional recall of those events.

4. Be in the now.
Realize that only this current moment exists. Nothing more. Let go of all else. Spend time in this moment. Be in the now.

Why

Sometimes you just need to step back and realize that only the current moment exists. Its a powerful realization. Not always easy to remember but when you do… when you observe the current moment and appreciate what surrounds you… it’s pretty amazing.
