Situation

Sometimes you find yourself a little stuck. Maybe you are stretching your skills in a situation or perhaps there just isn’t a clear answer before you. Or maybe guidance is lacking. It’s ok. You can still make progress. When you’re unsure of next steps, realize that you can make it happen. You got this.

Pattern

1. Identify someone who can be your sounding board.
Recruit others to help you. Build a support network with friends or co-workers that can help you grow and learn. Offer them help in return as win/win is always ideal.

2. Work through the challenges you face with your support network.
Identify specific individuals for specific support and work with them. Employ your network to help you be successful in what you do. If the situation requires negotiation skills, seek out a good negotiator. If you need someone good at analysis, find them.

3. Push yourself to go that extra mile and stretch.
Perhaps you can help one of the individuals helping you with something that they are finding to be a challenge. Work with them. Push yourself to go further.

Why

Life is too short to waste time or give in to being unsure. You always have a choice and by not doing anything about it, you let indecision make the choice for you. Pushing yourself will help you grow… and build your network.
