DirecTV/AT&T is the new Comcast

I decided to ‘cut the cord.’ Or in my case, DirecTV which is now owned by AT&T.

I’d been a DirecTV customer for many years. In those years, my entertainment options have changed dramatically. The cost of DirecTV could no longer be justified given how little we used it.

While I’ve been a DirecTV customer, the experience has been excellent…until I tried to cancel it. So far, it’s been nothing short of a disaster. There have been a half-dozen unfulfilling phone calls that so far have resulted in me being unable to cancel the service.

How does a fantastic product with a terrible “customer experience” leave you feeling? I might have considered DirecTV Now, AT&T/DirecTV’s streaming service. Now I’m glad I made the choice to test and continue using Playstation Vue.

AT&T, you don’t have to be the new Comcast. You can do better.
