This is an interesting library. About eight years ago, I created a library of Iterators/Iterables that achieved many of the goals of Java 8 lambdas and streams — although nowhere near as elegant. I’ve changed jobs a couple of times since then and my lesson from this experience was that the library itself wasn’t the most valuable result of this work. What was valuable was the patterns and idioms I learned and validated with the work. I now find I’m creating these sort of classes on the fly all the time and if I can reuse them, that’s great, but I don’t set out to do that.

So, I think what I’m saying is I probably won’t use your library but I will plunder it for good ideas (of which there seem to be a few). Give a man a class and he solves his problem for one day. Teach him how to write classes and he’ll solve his problems everyday.
