To Become Rich You Need To Think Rich

Think and Grow Rich

Definite Desire Definite Success

One word that Hill mentions the most in his book and is the most valuable principle is to “think.”

“We are what we are because of the vibrations of thought which we pick up and register through the stimuli of our daily environment.” — Napoleon Hill

When desire is anchored by faith, all thoughts that have been emotionalized will translate into their physical form and lead to success. In order for this to happen, you will need to surround yourself with positive people and stay away from negative people. It is proven that you become the people who you surround yourself with, so if everyone around you believes in you, you will also believe in yourself and others.

Persistence is crucial

Another essential element of the book is the concept of persistence. Without it, other principles are actually useless and will potentially lead to a disaster.

“More gold has been mined from the human brain than has ever been taken from the earth.” — Napoleon Hill

Hill relates his statement to a story of a group of miners who discovered gold. The miners spent a large amount of money and weeks of searching but were overwhelmed by temporary defeat. They decided to quit and sold their machinery to a junkman for a few hundred dollars. This junkman was smart and called in a mining engineer to examine the group’s mine. After investigating the mine, the engineer found that the miners failed because they weren’t familiar with “fault lines” and stopped three feet short from a pot of gold.
