Adapt and change or die

65.5 million years ago Dinosaurs disappeared after roaming the earth for 160 million years. Palaeontologists hotly debate the cause of the dinosaur’s extinction, but high on the list of theories is their failure to adapt to rapidly changing climatic conditions (particularly temperature).
In today’s pace of technology advancements, whether you are a business owner, employee or even a student, no one is immune to the disruption. Innovation is the new norm. Not forgetting, there are jobs that may soon be replaced.
As Jack Ma famously said:
When lighter was invented, matches slowly disappeared.
When calculator was invented, abacus slowly disappeared.
When digital camera was designed, the market of negative film no longer existed.
When e-commerce was invented, traditional retailers market starts to shriek.
When instant messenger apps (WhatsApp, Line and telegram) was invented, traditional text messaging is on the decline.
You see, change is like a double edged sword. It can pose as a threat and also an opportunity. If you adapt and change well, you can make great progresses. However if you if ignore the rapid changing environments then be prepared to become extinct like the dinosaurs.
One tip to staying relevant will be reading of daily news and technology publication. From printed journals to blogs and websites.

As Will Rogers said:
“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”
As Charles Darwin said:
“It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.”
So will you adapt and change or die? I will choose to adapt and change. How about you?
Please recommend it, so others can enjoy it too.
