Holy sh$t dude, music x was the first proper daw ever. I was lucky to have had every early computer starting with the texas TI-99, all the spectrum range, c64, my friend had an atari st which blew my mind, i remember playing super sprint on it for hours and his mum telling me to leave. Not long after my father bought an amiga 500, we got the zool and new zealand package. The whole family whent from watching TV every eve to watching me n my sister play those 2 games for 3 months strait, every night none stop ill never forget it. We’d had computers before but this was something else. After 3 months every one got bored of those 2 games and i managed to wrangle it to my bedroom, i was bored of the only 2 games we had for it, i spent those months buying amiga power etc for the free software discs which were really amazing, one of my favorite memories is the feeling of walking into the local paper store and seeing the latest amiga mag with a 3.5" disc taped to the front it was guranteed to be packed full off seriously good stuff, im still amazed how much software they used to jam into those discs. Shortly after i met a cousin a few years older than me ive never met at a family wedding, i found out he had an amiga 1200. I remember saying how many games do you have, he replied everything, ive got the new deluxe paint etc and music tracker, also ive just got a music prog called music x its the state of the art music software. I thought this guy must be a millionaire, he has everything ive ever read about in the amiga magazines etc. I loved the amiga games, i was never any good at them but i was fascinated with them mainly by the music, it was like nothing id heard before, my cousin lent me 2 programs which changed my life. Aegis animator and music X, i spent a few fun hours with aegis animator but music X truly blew my mind, i spent full weekends with little sleep messing with this thing, it was absolutely amazing. Music X was the first daw ever that made it possible to actually create, control and compose music in a way that had never been done before, it was sincerely the most amzing concept ive ever seen. I use logic, ableton, reason etc these days, they’re all super great in there own way, i use them almost every day. To me they are all easy to use for one reason, the people who created them were inspired by music X and they all have built from the same concept, well done talin i am truly greatfull for music X it was absolutely the most ground breaking piece of software ive ever known.
