astroEDU Nominated for Open Knowledge Foundation Award

The OKFN awards recognise the biggest contributions in open knowledge, open data and transparency. Hosted by the OKFN Spain chapter of Open Knowledge Foundation, the second edition of OKFN award will run through January to February 2015.

The award consists of six categories;

Best initiative to encourage entrepreneurship based on open knowledge
Best business based on open knowledge
Best non-public transparency initiative
Best open science initiative
Best public initiative to support Transparency through the Open Data
Best public open data initiative with involvement of citizens/society

astroEDU is nominated for the category of ‘Best Open Science Initiative’. Jury consisting a panel of fifty-people will vote and the winners will be awarded during a ceremony on 21 February at Media Lab Prado in Madrid.
