Dissecting the AP’s Bias

A recent “story” published by the AP is pretty badly written overall, but it’s sheer lack of basic journalistic ethics and reporting skill shows it’s pretty blatantly biased against President Trump.

It’s a hit piece disguised as unbiased reporting on what two losers said.

Here’s a screenshot of the article in case they remove it or edit it in the future.

NOTE: Fair use applies, AP.

I used to actually respect the AP when I was living and working overseas.

But not any more, not after this most recent election season.

NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump’s performance in the White House will make it harder for Republicans — and billionaires — in the coming elections, two of his most prominent critics said Saturday.

Note that very, very leading sentence. Instead of starting out “Two of President Trump’s most prominent critics” and then going into their reasoning, they instead make a statement and then link it to their subjects without once ever quoting them as actually saying anything about it.

They do that on purpose to try to get it burned into your brain as a statement of fact and not one of opinion.

Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush lashed out at the Republican president during separate remarks at a summer festival in New York City’s Central Park.

“Lashed out at”? They couldn’t have just written “spoke out against”? Of course they couldn’t, because if they tried to remain neutral it wouldn’t help them push their anti-Trump narratives/reporting agenda.

Cuban, who owns the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, said he may challenge Trump in 2020.

Again with the Dallas Mavericks. Is that really all Mr. Cuban is known for? That’s just lazy reporting of what others have already reported on. Try something new. They’re also priming the pump for the pro-Cuban reporting they’ll be doing in the future.

“If he lasts four years, I’ll be there to kick his (butt),” Cuban declared as the young New York crowd roared. “We’ll see. I’m not making any proclamations yet.”

Ah yes, continuing to push the “impeachment” narrative by implying others are saying it and not the AP. And why the (butt)? Why not actually REPORT what he said? ASS! He said ASS! Nothing wrong with putting that in print, it’s done everywhere else online and in print news. Also, please note Mark’s “escape clause” of not actually declaring a run. That means he’s not. Because anyone serious about doing it would have already established a campaign if just for the legal reasons and protections of doing so — just like President Trump did.

Cuban also warned that Trump “might ruin the path” for another billionaire outsider to run for president in the future.

OK, what the hell is this garbage? Where’s the ENTIRE quote? Why did you just quote “might ruin the path” and not the entire thing? Now I just don’t believe he even said it and that’s the AP taking journalistic license with his words.

“He’s not setting the best example,” Cuban said.

The best example for what? For me? For you? Or for whiny billionaires who not only can’t run a successful political campaign but also tend to get their own TV shows cancelled? Looks like the only one not setting the best example here is Mark Cuban.

After six months in office, Trump and his party have failed to enact any major legislation. His poll numbers are near historic lows and an investigation into Russian interference in the last election is focusing on his closest aides and family members.

Newsflash, AP. The Executive Branch doesn’t enact legislation. The Legislative Branch does. It’s right there in the name — “legislation”.

Now show us the exact poll(s) you’re referencing and I’ll show you poll(s) that are heavily rigged to over-sample Democrat anti-Trump strongholds. Remember kids, no one just pays for a poll to find something out — they pay for polls to reinforce their already preconceived ideas, beliefs, and political preferences.

And I think we all know by now that “muh Russian interference” is the typical Democrat strategy of distraction, in this case away from all the shady shit the Clintons have done over the past decade.

Remember the old “sniper fire” comment Hillary made?

I was there on the ground when her plane landed amid a hail of non-existent gunfire. There was none. She lied and by lying implied that we soldiers on the ground weren’t doing our jobs. Yeah, I took that one kind of personally and swore from that day forward to work towards ensuring that liar never becomes President. Mission Accomplished.

Anyway, back to the AP article…

Energized Democrats hope they can capitalize on the GOP’s political struggles in next year’s midterm elections when the House majority is at stake.

Wow. Pure political opinion masquerading as a news story. I don’t know if you’ve noticed lately, but the “Energized Democrats” are looking like fools lately every time they open their mouths. Pelosi keeps thinking Bush is still President, Mad Maxine’s constant screeching about “inpeach!” (her word!), and Schumer’s political strategy of going against anything Trump is destroying the DNC from within. So yeah, that’s a lot of hope.

You know who else had hope? Germans in the 1930s.

Here’s who took advantage of German’s hope back then:

Back to the article.

Bush, a regular target of Trump’s personal attacks during the 2016 Republican primary election, said he would not run for president again. He also tried to distance his party from the new president, noting that Trump was registered as a Democrat in recent years.

Now, here’s the AP stomping on ol’ Jeb Bush by printing yet another story that he’s never going to run for President again. President of what? Losing? Do you mean ‘President of the United States’? Dear AP, the word is President not president when referring to the highest political office in the United States of America. Jesus, AP, don’t you actually have the style guide every other news outlet uses? Use it yourself perhaps? Who’s editing that nonsense?

Right now Jeb doesn’t run jack shit in the GOP but the AP is making out like he actually has some power in the GOP. Don’t worry folks, low-energy Jeb has no power in the GOP. Jeb’s idea of distancing the GOP from President Trump is not only stupid, but pretty damn ignorant of what exactly happened in the recent elections of the past year. More importantly, ol’ Jeb just doesn’t understand today’s voting base.

Let me show you the difference in the voting base:

President Trump voters & supporters have more energy and intelligence than the mainstream press even bothers to acknowledge.

Now let’s look at Clinton voters…

One charges the hill and storms the voting booths. The other has to be dragged to the voting booth.

Remember that or it’s going to bite the GOP — and the DNC — in the ass yet again come 2018.

In 2018 a politician is either Pro-Trump or Pro-doesn’t-want-to-be-re-elected.

The GOP only survives if it back’s President Trump’s agenda right now, today. Because if it doesn’t then there’s going to be a lot of junior Senators and Congressmen next time a GOP politician comes up for re-election.

You think they’re scared of Senator Kid Rock now, wait until they have to shake hands with Speaker-of-the-House Ted Nugent.

Oh, and President Trump’s past political party registrations don’t mean jack shit to anyone who voted for him. We voted for the MAN, not the PARTY.

Keep going against the President’s agenda and the Lion Party of President Trump is going to bury the GOP’s elephant forever.

Anyway, back to the AP article.

“He’s not really affiliated with the party, just to be clear. He’s Trump,” Bush said, speaking less than a mile from Trump Tower.

Well no shit, Jeb! The GOP refused to work with him during the campaign because they were all too busy throwing cash at your losing ass. Yet another reason why we all voted for him in such large numbers in the primaries.

And what the hell does “speaking less than a mile from Trump Tower” have to do with anything in this article? Is this supposed to show that they aren’t afraid of the big bad wolf? Seriously, adding that bit was just inane, AP.

We already knew they were speaking in Manhattan. And just about everything of importance is less than a mile from Trump Tower — why do you think President Trump built it there in the first place?

Bush also lamented the rise of celebrity politicians — Cuban, among them — as he pondered the future of the GOP.

Losers always lament. Winners graciously win. Go cry to Billy Bush’s dead TV career about celebrity politicians.

President Trump destroyed not one but TWO members of the Bush family.

When you think about it, wasn’t that what Democrats have wanted for years? Why aren’t they thanking President Trump for that free gift?

Oh yeah, wrong Bush I guess. Sorry but no take-backs.

“We may have really talented people that are really good on TV being our leaders for a while until we sort things out,” Bush said, noting that Cuban was on Saturday’s speaking program. “Ideas and policy really matter. It’s not just about personality.”

Is this line supposed to imply Jeb Bush’s support for a “possible” Mark Cuban Presidential bid? Or a job in the President Trump White House? Show us the full QUOTE so we can decide for ourselves what he “noted”!

Jeb, we know ideas and policy matter. You didn’t have any that people cared about which is why you’re not President. And again with the “not just about personality” where the AP tries to imply that President Trump supporters don’t care about his ideas or policies, that they just support him for his “personality”. Wrong. We like his ideas and policies so far.

He said Republicans have “a huge opportunity” with control of the White House and both chambers in Congress. Should the GOP squander that, he said, Republicans may struggle in 2018 and 2020.

Leave it to both Jeb and the AP to restate the obvious to everyone that already knows it. This sentence is just filler.

Should the GOP go against President Trump’s agenda, the only Republicans that will struggle will be those anti-Trump GOP elitists locked in a primary battle with a pro-Trump challenger.

They’ll struggle until they finally lose and go back to private life.

Despite the criticism, Bush said he’s rooting for Trump to succeed.

Really? Show us the EXACT quote where Jeb Bush said he was “rooting for Trump to succeed”. If you can’t then it’s a LIE.

“I find him deeply troubling in a lot of ways. But I pray for him every night. And I pray for our country every night,” Bush said. “I care about my grandkids.”

Wait — is this supposed to be the “rooting for Trump” quote? If so, then you failed horribly.

I pray for folks every night and care about my nieces and nephews but it doesn’t mean I’m rooting for Speaker Ryan to succeed in just renaming Obamacare instead of repealing it entirely.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am a simple man living a simple life with simple goals, but even I can see through the bullshit the news media has been putting out for over a year now and continues to do so on a daily basis.

Think very carefully on everything you read in the media — mainstream, alternate, whatever — and remember that there’s bias in ALL reporting.
