Can you ever beat impostor syndrome?
Impostor syndrome is when you feel like a fraud even when you are skilled and successful. I came across it when I started my coding journey (exactly 3 months today).I was struggling with impostor syndrome and it became toxic to me that I started looking for external validation. After learning from CodeLagos(Batch 2)and competing for Google Africa Challenge Scholarship ALC 3.0 Front-end track (I did not make it to the nanodegree by the way), my coding buddies Adelanwa A. Adedeji Sarafa Olalekan and Abdullahi Abdulkabir ) said we should apply for gigs but I said I was not ready yet. Even after going through several YouTube tutorials and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course), I still felt I was not ready yet. One day I came across an article on impostor syndrome. After much research, it occurred to me that even famous and successful people suffer from it.
No matter what we’ve done, there comes a point where you think, how did i get here? when are they going to discover that i am,in fact,a fraud and take everything away from you?
I go through [acute impostor syndrome] with every role.

The truth is,you can not beat impostor syndrome but you can be in control when you acknowledge it. The tech community is really full of awesome and supportive people. As a developer, attending meetups and hackathons go a long way.
I have always wanted to write but I taught I wasn’t good enough till I got a push from Peculiar Ediomo-Abasi. thanks to her now I have my first medium post. 😎
