ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” commenced its unprecedented 20th season with its signature mix of high drama and head-scratching moments. Following last year’s actors’ and writers’ strikes, this season comprises only 10 episodes, a departure from its usual 20-episode run. Nonetheless, it’s a welcomed change for dedicated fans like myself, who have watched all 420 episodes multiple times.

“It does allow you to tell a couple of different stories that maybe you wouldn’t be able to tell in a 20-or-plus season,” says executive producer Meg Marinis.
