A fantastic input method for Chinese learners: ICboard makes your Chinese typing better!

Some people skip the characters because of a misunderstanding: they believe that they can write Chinese using pīnyīn. But pīnyīn is a transcription system designed to help people learn pronunciation. Chinese people never use pīnyīn in normal written communication. Never. It’s like thinking you would be able to communicate with English-speaking people by using the international phonetic alphabet.

We add a mini dictionary on the keyboard. Long press every single word you can learn more. Then you get the translations, pronunciations and sentences. We also add the label on the word if it belongs to HSK vocabulary.

3. Translation

No need to switch to translation apps to search unknown words when you are typing.

- If you have a word you don’t know how to express in Chinese when you are typing, press the button “译”(which means “translation”)，input English then it will output Chinese. To some degree it saves your time.

- Long press it you can also learn more.

5. Use it as a normal input method

- You can input long sentences.

- You can also long press the sentence you type. It will simply show you the translations to check if the sentence is correct.
