After the two weeks of Telegram, forum and media activity we’ve got a bunch of interesting and repetitive questions about our competitive advantages. You ask, we answer.

A really good one: Why Google hasn’t built their own AI tool for websites? They have everything to create and promote it in a blink of an eye. The money, great research and implementing options, a large AdWords business audience…

If it wasn’t for uKit’s Group 12 years of experience at website building sphere, we’d be wondering ourselves as well :)

But take a closer look at the industry and everything will fall into place.

Here we have dozens of website building solutions, complex and simple, open-sourced and commercial ones and they coexist for years. There have never been the ‘one and only’ tool. Moreover, it’s fair to say that there will never be one. Everybody who create websites want to find a CMS that will be a perfect match for their project. And that’s why people need a variety to choose from, not a default solution or two competitors only.

I guess you’ve got the point. And anyway, the website building is not a major Google endeavour.

Why Wix, the Grid or any other website builder with AI can’t do the same? It’s true, that we’re not the first and the only DIY website builder that experiments with an AI technologies. There are several projects from startups and stable companies launched in 2016. But…

They say: “Let’s create your first website with AI”. Sounds great, but in fact you still need to prepare content beforehand. And only then machine will try to combine it somehow, apply colors and fonts, etc.

We think different, outside the box.

We suggest next: “Let’s take your existing website and make it modern and more effective”. In this case, people already have content, which is important. To be honest, if one has a website already , he/she is used to pay for hosting, custom domain, etc. Over 70% of small businesses in US and EU already have websites. Using uKit AI, they can transfer websites from any platform to uKit and get more for pretty much the same cost — a redesigned, instantly data-oriented website.

Can other AI-website builders turn 180 degrees as well? Sure, everything’s possible. But when you’re dealing with neural networks, transformation is never fast.

So, who’s our competitor in this case? You can name Adobe, Amazon, Facebook and others having business audience and combining ML and data mining in solutions for their markets. But once again, they have a focus of their own and the website building market is not the one to become a monopoly.

Since we’re developing an AI-based solution, our competitor is, well…human. But who says they can’t cooperate?

Actually, that’s what experts predict, by the 2020th an AI designing will become available to everyone. How come? Because at the moment different players are creating tools for it. We’re doing this for our market, addressing our solutions both for those who manage websites on their own and for professionals who serve small businesses. And guess what, freelancers and web studios are already purchasing uKit tokens.

Any other good questions? Feel free to ask, we’ll answer them all.
