Better than any award…

The below references from three students and athletes of mine are better than any award I could win…

Tonderai Mushandu, Former Player, Student at Castleton University:

“As I entered high school Coach Puliatte was one of the first people who ever believed in me. Ever since then our relationship has grown. He is one of the few people who has always been there for me through my highs and lows even though he did not have to. That is a true testament to his character he goes above and beyond which makes him a special person. For that I am forever grateful because without him I would not have made it out of high school. At this point I am one year away from receiving my degree while playing college basketball. Without him this dream would not have been possible.”

Hana Badivuku, Former Student, Student at Syracuse University:

“As both my teacher and coach, Mr. Puliatte has demonstrated unwavering support for myself as well as for his other students. He consistently goes the extra mile to ensure the best results both in the classroom and on the court. I could not have asked for a better mentor throughout my years at Fort Lee High School.”

Domonique Wirsing, Student at Montclair State University:

“James was introduced to my family through his colleague while I was a high school student. He helped me with the recruiting process, skills, and videotaping recruitment clips to send to coaches. He went out of his way to support me at my high school volleyball and basketball games. He is the most encouraging coach and mentor I have ever met. James met me and my mom numerous times at locations that were convenient to my mom and I, after he had worked a full day at school and coaching. He would never take anything for his time or efforts. His passion for basketball and helping people is evident in everything he does. I have just completed my sophomore year of college, where I am a varsity basketball player and dean’s list student and know that James is always following my progress with his encouragement. James is the person that everyone wants to be on their team for life.
