Write, To Remain Silent

Something else about writing — once you have written something, you have to own it. You might be the only one to ever read it, but you cannot be in denial of it yourself. You cannot claim you were misquoted!

It can be disturbing to pick up the notebook, laptop, iPad, or whatever you were writing in five years ago — and see a snapshot of your mind as it was. You can see how you have grown in the time since — and the ways in which you have not. Or, you can be reminded of something special about yourself that you have allowed to wither and die.

There’s probably no better way to get to know your real self.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
