What always bothered us about Scooby Doo was that whenever the gang split up, the two biggest chickens, i.e., Shaggy and Scooby, were almost always left by themselves! Occasionally, Velma joined them, which made more sense, as she was usually calm and collected — unless she lost her glasses. As a writer, do you think that was a deliberate attempt to introduce tension? Or were the writers just too lazy to consider an alternative plot with Freddie paired with Scooby and the girls looking out for Shaggy?
Hmmm. Perhaps some of the dumb stuff we watched as kids is what spawned our compulsion to write — as in, surely someone can write something better than this?
