In this week’s journal, we are introducing Silang and Azraf as our 11th and 12th playable Icons, as well as sharing more about the powerful neutral objective players can kill to earn a great buff in-game — The Guardian.
Also, we have some more cool animations to share! Let’s get right into it!
The Shield of the South
Join us in welcoming Silang as Icons of Theia’s eleventh playable Icon! Hailing from the Southern Isles, Silang is loyal to the New Vijayan Empire!
Here is her lore introduction:
Hailing from the Southern Isles, famous for its lush environment, Silang had a happy childhood along the sea, where the young girl’s ability to throw objects far away was already remarkable. Life took a radical turn once she was identified as having the Gift, which gave her the ability to bend objects to her will, making them do impossible turns and curves as she seeks to hit her target.
With this gift, Silang developed a strong sense of responsibility, and an unbreaking will to use her strength to help and support her people — no matter the sacrifices needed. Sharing the Vijayan belief that the Crystals should be used to bless all humans equally, Silang pledged her mighty javelin and shield to the Shah to assist him, Vijaya, and her people in the inevitable conflicts to come.
In-game, Silang is an off-tank, able to protect herself against damage while using her powerful javelin to pull enemy targets closer to her and her team!
The Rogue of the Blue Sands
Our second Icon from Khufu, Azraf is the 12th playable Icon in Icons of Theia — and will be present in the upcoming Closed Beta!
Here is a short lore introduction to him:
Azraf dedicated his life to helping the ones in most desperate need in a Khufu more frequently rampaged by natural disasters that left even the arrogant Researchers without words. Truth be told, some of these activities he engaged in were not completely legal, leading to constant clashes with the Researchers — and mutual animosity.
The formation of the League of the Blue Lotus changed his perspective of his own hometown. His opposition to the alliance with Vijaya will lead to Azraf to join forces with the Researchers, rising from the shadows to take a more active role in Khufuian society and politics, looking to steer the city from a path that he thinks will lead Khufu to its inevitable doom.
In-game, Azraf is an assassin, able to dash to enemy targets, dealing significant damage. Azraf’s ability is better used against low-health targets: if he kills the enemy he is attacking, the ability resets, and he is able to target another enemy, dealing even more damage!
And here are more Animations!
We have some sweet new in-game animations to show you — enjoy!
The Guardian of Digyu
With the war threatening to break across Theia, the Empress of Digyu transferred part of her own power to the Guardians, the statues that guard her Imperial Palace and the capital city of Digyu-Xin.
The stone statues will become alive, and infused by the Crystals’ power provided by the Empress, will stand guard, able to follow one simple command: protect the Empress, against anyone that might endanger her.
The Guardian will serve as Icons of Theia’s neutral objective in-game: spawning at the center of the map in the opening stages, the player who manages to last hit and kill the Guardian will see their Icons receiving a big buff to their Attack and Caliber stats for the rest of the game.
But be aware: the Guardian will react when attacked — and has the potential to inflict devastating damage when provoked.
And this wraps up the week! Thank you so much for your time and see you next time Theians!
