“The Whole World is Africa” — Black Uhuru

As a resident of the USA, there is little or no exposure to International Music.

One needs to Dig Deep, yet the rewards are well worth it.

Over the decades, Your Author has followed African Music.

The First exposure was in 1986. Downtown Detroit African Music Festival in the Rain — With King Sunny Ade and His African Beats. A Seventeen (17) Piece Band. It was Eye-Opening, a Life-Changing Event. I never enjoyed a concert more, up to that point.

A few more Acts to look up, if One is so inclined:

Mega Classic

The Funkees: “Dancing Time” CD. Psychedelic 70’s Funk from Eastern Nigeria — Influenced by James Brown, USA Psychedelic Rock, and Cuban Music. — “Akula Owu Onyeara” song

Lokua Kanza — Solo and with the Supergroup “Toto Bona Lokua Band.” Good luck finding anyone with a smoother singing Style.
