Although It’s Admirable…

Although it’s admirable, it does not reflect the awesome might of the AI/human dichotomy. In twenty years, maybe less, the difference will become all too clear. AI is the greatest force of all since life began, 3–1/2 billion years ago. It does not matter in the slightest how humankind handled the industrial revolution, or the steam engine. This is a totally different order, and it will become very clear very soon. It is the end of the human race. Whether we can become cyborgs or some other form of advanced AI/human (with the focus on AI) or simply disappear is an open question, which is why Elon Musk is thinking about it very seriously. I wish him luck. He is one of the good, smart guys, but my gut tells me he’s wrong in the greatest question of our lives.
