I Hope You Are Paying Close Attention.

Booz Allen Hamilton does an excellent job of discussing, through a handful of articles, the pros and cons of AI warfare. It’s 29 pages of pretty thorough examination of every aspect of the current stage of AI, and the likely course ahead. I have nothing but admiration and confidence in it’s findings, but I’m very worried that in 10 years or so, the AI distance will be stark and sick anyway, as things move ahead with lightening speed on all fronts. Quantum processing coming to the fore in unimaginable ways, true AI only 5–6 years away, not decades, and AI lethality on a nuclear scale, rather than the first crude beginnings of drone flights. And Booz Allen Hamilton is right in pointing out both the good and the dystopian — I hope you are paying close attention, and reading through it carefully.

I am extremely interested in AI, especially the not-so-good side of AI weapons and AI war, although the good parts are magnificent and wonderful too, naturally.
