Day 524

After three days of runny nose, fussy play times, running dry coughs, I decided to take you to the doctor. We were on queue following 30+ people so we just went back home to return later because I’ll be having an interview in the coming hour.

I had this Skype call interview with someone the same name as yours. I haven’t actually told her because I just don’t want her to think I’m just trying to make a good first impression. Anyway, really, when I read an e-mail from her telling me about their interest on my skills, and it has your name on the closing salutation, it had my heart beat skipped for a second because anything that is just about you makes me feel ahhmmm, I think, it’s always cutesy!! I got the job, by the way. I’m not sure that something you’d like to celebrate about because that means lesser time again with your “nanay”.

We went back and I am relieved that though your case is not as simple as I’ve thought (like the kind of colds you catch during rainy seasons), at least I know how to treat it and what to expect after the medication. It will be another 7 tough days of forcing flavored fluids to your mouth but I just want you to know, that I wish I could just bear your pain. If only I could just seep through your lungs and get all the phlegm, I really would. For now, I’ll just soothe you after meds time. We’ll nurse and play all you want! I’m not going to start working in a week, anyway.

I love you, baby.

P.S.: Found a gentle way of how to night wean.
