A Laundry Frequency Question of the Day

I’m another where the season doesn’t make a big difference. I do wash items of clothing more often in the summer, but they take up less room so the number of loads stays similar. Though in the winter my laundry can feel like more of a burden because I like wool and cashmere sweaters, which I handwash. But um, also I am A Gross and really only wash them in one big day at the end of the winter, and otherwise spot clean as needed and “air them out” between wearings so that they don’t get smelly.

I should also probably wash the towels more often than I do, but I don’t take many more showers in the summer. They are kind of ancient (probably at least 10 years old at this point, my boyfriend had them for several years before I moved in) so I guess one towel strategy is let them be threadbare and sad and they’ll dry out quicker than fluffy new ones? I’ve been meaning to buy new towels for awhile now, actually.
