Wow, unabashed 2017 has come and gone which was held at the Rele Art gallery and sole sponsor Bayo Omoboriowo, documenting Lagos and it’s elements. It was a nice time having co-photographers, likes of Jide Odukoya Segun Olotu Tope Adenola, Timmy Davies amongst others come together to shoot on the street of Lagos.

A very beautiful neighbourhood, starting my walk at the military street in Onikan, Lagos which i wasn’t familiar with at all.. But i walked my way briskly ending up at Obalende asking for direction from strangers. I was scared not to be harassed, at the same time happy to shoot on the street again. It’s amazing realizing how beautiful , the uniformity and the hustle and bustle much better than I had thought. I spent time with my subject under close watch, requested for permission having their candid photographs, and at some point I had to pay my subject before taking my photograph.

I came across a team of only women. Cleaning up junks passionately. At first i was crazy about how comfortable they were, but that didn’t matter compared to how diligent they were. Now thats what it means to be patriotic because i am pretty sure their pay don’t matter here.
