If one is to grow he has to be accustomed to and welcome challenges. He has to embrace it and rise to the Task of solving it. Look at it this way. If you never prepared for and pass your exams in school. You will never go to the next class. The exam was the inevitable challenge you had to surmount to progress.

Challenges come in different aspects of life. we have spiritual challenges, financial challenges, health challenges, social challenges and so on.

Let’s pick Thomas Edison for example he said he failed about a thousand times while creating the light bulb. He later re-phrased it as finding 1000 ways that won’t work. Edison learnt from his mistake. Documented it and tried another method. Imagine if he didn't document his failure and just kept trying without learning anything from past failures. The chances of him improving would be very slim.

Chances are his mistakes would be repeated continually.
