The value of Mentorship

1 min readJun 15, 2018

Everyone needs a mentor. Someone to guide you in the route you want to take. Someone to instruct you, mold and make you a better person.

Mentorship simply refers to a period of time that someone receives guidance provided by someone who has superior knowledge in a field.

Examples of our day to day mentors are parents, family members, Senior career people e.t.c .

There is a saying that no one is an Island and everyone has someone who in one way or the other influenced their growth in whatever aspect.

Mentorship is very valuable as it fosters growth, saves time, is educative, rewarding, builds potential and so on.

Growth is something we all look to. Mentorship helps to encourage growth as mentors serve as motivators and teachers.

Being guided by a mentor helps you save time in your endeavor as they are able to expose you to their wealth of experience. Which helps you to gain experience and know what to do without testing waters.

No doubt mentors provide good educational platforms for individuals to learn and develop appropriately.

The rewards for mentorship are growth, greatness, knowledge, wisdom and monetary compensations.

With mentorship potential is developed and greatness is achieved.

Shout out to all my mentors,GOD,parents, pastors, teachers, lecturers, friends, software development seniors. Thanks for pushing me to greatness.
