Workation in Bali with MailerLite team
Every year I go for 2–3 months workation to some inspiring locations like California, Colombia or Southeast Asia. I travel, live and work.
It’s an amazing experience - you get to see the world, have lots of fun and still continue doing the job you love. Moreover, I escape cold European winters…
This year I wanted to share the experience with all our team at MailerLite. So, we came up with this crazy idea to move all our team to sunny Bali for 2 months to live and work together.
We split the team into 4 groups of 3–5 people. Each group would come for 2 weeks and stay longer if they want. Me and Ilma stayed for the whole 2 months and hosted other guys.

Episode 1: Our new office in the Jungle of Ubud
The first team kicked off the workation in Ubud. We moved into an amazing villa and started to explore the neighborhood.
Episode 2: Coworking spaces in Ubud
Working from the villa was fine. However, internet connection wasn’t stable - sometimes it was ok, but sometimes it just freezed. That’s one of the biggest issues you can face in exotic locations like Bali. But don’t worry, there are cosy coffee shops and coworking spaces with fast connection where you can get things done.
Episode 3: Team Building Adventures
We lived, worked and had fun together. There was an adventure almost every day. We were running in the rice fields, doing yoga, muay-thai, crossfit, surfing, rafting, snorkeling, playing geocaching, climbing a volcano.
Episode 4: New office in Seminyak
First month in Ubud passed quickly and we moved to Seminyak. Finally close to the beach! New place and new team has arrived.
Episode 5: Work and Play
And here’s the last episode. We loved playing frisbee and watching sunsets. Moreover, we traveled around Bali - from Ubud and Seminyak to Uluwatu, Canggu, Lovina, Lembongan and Gili Islands.
