Only a draft

I didn’t realize that logging onto medium meant that I could easily publish a story. I logged on to make comments on Caroline Hill’s Designing for Equity article. A fantastic read. I highly recommend it.

Then medium showed me a count of what I presume was previous comments. I clicked on it and it took me to a new page. As I quickly skimmed the tidbits I’ve left here and there on various personally meaningful posts, I saw a greenish link up top, to the right, next to my profile icon and it called out to me with “write a story”. And I thought, how unfair! I’ve wanted and thought about writing posts regularly for a while now. I maintain a journal, on and off, I write myself emails when I have nothing handy to jot down ideas.

So now here I am, writing a story about writing a story. Medium, that’s what you get for catching me off guard and handing me an invitation I could not refuse. But folks, if you’re still reading, this is just a draft. In fact, it’s not even a draft. It’s that first thing you need do when trying to break into a habit. Maybe I will return with the prepared intent to share a real story next time. Thank you for reading.
