Ignite Institute: You’re an avid entrepreneur. Tell us about your businesses.
Amar Chavda: Alphabet Deal is an online retail company that is determined to give its customers the best prices on products. We sell clothing, jewelry, accessories, bedding, appliances, and more at the lowest prices you’ll find online. We want to give back to our customers with our My Cash Program, which lets our customers earn money by sharing our products on social media. Alphabet Deal has a short but simple mission: Share, Save, & Give Back.
GrebCloud is an all-in-one suite that gets your products on the Internet while you maintain control of your store. Online retailers can sell on more channels by managing inventory, products, and sales channels across marketplaces like Amazon, Jet, Walmart, Shopify, and more. With the help of bank integration, business owners can organize books, track sales, and run payroll. It includes carrier and fulfillment integration with Stamps, Endicia, FedEx, UPS, Amazon Fulfillment, and DHL.
Ignite Institute: What was your motivation for founding your companies?
Amar Chavda: The motivation for founding Alphabet Deal was the opportunity for growth within the new trends of the Ecommerce world. We wanted to provide an easy and affordable online shopping experience so that anyone, regardless of income, can afford to shop with us. We strive to help busy families and support single parents, and as such, all of our products are sold at the lowest prices. We also acknowledge the growing importance of social media and wanted to assist families and single parents with the use of our My Cash Program. We are the only e-commerce company that allows its customers to make some quick and easy money by sharing our products on social media.
The motivation for founding GrebCloud was to help both small and large companies with managing their business. The goal was to improve upon warehouse management as well as support businesses while on-the-go with an all-in-one solution.
Ignite Institute: E-Commerce is an important engine of economic growth. What are the most exciting trends you see happening within the industry.
Amar Chavda: One interesting trend within the world of e-commerce is the role of social media. While Alphabet Deal is active on several social media platforms, it also encourages its members to be active on social media with the use of the My Cash Program. As previously stated, members of this program will get cashback by sharing our products on social media. Another trend in e-commerce is the growth of mobile shopping. Since people depend on their phones more than ever before, online shopping on your mobile device needs to be just as quick and convenient as it is on a laptop or desktop. With the rapidly growing importance of technology, e-commerce companies need to keep up with this evolution. Lastly, competitive pricing is another important factor in today’s e-commerce world. Everyone is looking for the best prices with all the same quality as high-end platforms, so it’s important to keep this in mind while running your business.
Ignite Institute: Entrepreneurship can be very challenging. Do you have any advice for potential entrepreneurs seeking to follow in your footsteps?
Amar Chavda: While every up-and-coming entrepreneur will have a unique experience, some advice I can offer is to learn your way around your industry. When developing a startup company, research the methods that have been previously implemented to see what works and what does not. Learn from the errors that others have made and build upon successes. Additionally, your own mistakes are inevitable, so learn from your failures and take steps to ensure that those mistakes will not occur again. Pay employees and business partners on time to guarantee that everyone is satisfied and able to work in harmony. Separate your personal money from your company’s money. Lastly, don’t give up. Starting a business is difficult and requires a lot of effort. However, being consistent and never giving up will eventually give you results
Ignite Institute: You are completing your MBA soon. How have your studies complemented your entrepreneurial career?
Amar Chavda: Business varies from culture to culture. Experiences with international students and professors have taught me what work is like in other walks of life. Professors, in particular, have a lot of experience in understanding and managing companies based on different strategies. A variety of experiences help you learn how to start your business and teach you how to solve issues.
Ignite Institute: Thank you!
