NUCLEAR BOMB > GOD

The Assumption of Marry Cathedral after the A-Bomb

Fun fact: When the Americans started planning the first attach with nuclear weapon, they were badly missing a point zero — a point in town that can be easily noticed by the pilots and where the bomb can do maximum damage.

In Hiroshima there was one such building that stood above all other building and was in the city centre — the Assumption of Marry Cathedral. At 8:16am local time in the cathedral the christian minority in town had a Holy Liturgy and while they were preying to GOD (who did nothing to stop the bomb), 10 000 other christian living around the chatedral and 80 000 more perished, leaving just nuclear shadows* around the streets.

  • The A-bomb named “little boy” vaporized people in a matter of moments, also created a permanent memory of some of those killed. These creations, like the one seen of a little girl, are often called “nuclear shadows” and exist to this day.
