If you paid enough attention to the show you would see that the ambivalence reflected in questions like that is not only completely purposeful, but alsoone of the most compelling traits of Mr. Robot.

Its obvious E-corp is using the crisis to its own advantage, that is exactly what happens in the real world with the too big to fail corporations. Its also obvious as someone posted below that Angela is trying to obtain both personal advantage and to achieve change from withing, its also obvious that she is navigating treacherous waters in the dark and does not have a clear plan, you tend to make mistakes in such conditions.

Life is sometimes a confusing place where goals conflict with each other and we don´t achieve clear-cut resolution at the end of each hour.
