Why Anime Expo 2016?

It was quite the experience.

Why did I choose to attend Anime Expo 2016

Long story short last year I choose to volunteer and I never followed though to volunteering because of the start of my career path. This year I decided to finally bite the bullet and attend.

A little backstory on how much I’m involved with Anime, and if I was completely honest with you its that I only watch anime on Sundays and maybe the occasional binge watch. With that in mind you probably already assume I only know about 30% of the anime/manga content that was actually there.

Now not really knowing much of what was going on, I wasn’t as involved as some were. I didn’t cosplay, I only went to the Berserk premiere, and I only purchased a panda for my significant other. But regardless I’d love share some of the positive and negatives plus some experiences there.

I don’t know how these children afford these $30 models.

My Shopping Experience

I love to shop.

There was a lot of things to choose from, for example body pillows, hentai, anime, manga, video games, and much more involving the Japanese culture. Honestly living in LA a lot of these things were already available to me when I visit Little Tokyo, so not much of that really caught my attention. If anything it was probably the various artist I’ve seen there with some super neat work, but thanks to real life I just don’t really want to have any extra posters to hang up in my room. I’ll link tons of photos on my Flickr album for you to see more.

It wouldn’t be worth it if there wasn’t anything positive ~

My Positive Experiences

There’s quite a few because in my opinion the positives should always outweigh the negative. ~

  • Tons of events ( Premieres, AMA’s, Dance Parties).
  • A lot of like minded people to meet. ( The friends I went with)
  • Safe Zones ( For those feeling harassed and bullied and just need space).
  • Anime of course, that’s what we all went for.

My Negative Experiences

But with positives there must always have a negative.

  • Way to much people, very hard to walk — I could only imagine having a huge costume.
  • Lines.. Do I have to say anymore.

Thanks for reading.

Wanna see more?

I have plenty of social media for this.

Well I created a Flickr album so you can see more of my horrible images ( I’m trying to learn how to use the manual mode on my camera) | which you can see here. https://goo.gl/kI8Zsm

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and feel free to give me a *heart*, and I’ll be sure to write much more in the future ~
